But in reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do.

– C.S. Lewis

Books. We love them! For no other reason than they help us befriend the best, wisest, and most imaginative of what our brethren and ancestors have known, thought, felt, and dreamt, and deemed worthy to leave behind for us enjoy and grow wiser still. “If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants” (Isaac Newton). So grab a book and climb on up, the view is grand.

We have nearly 2,000 volumes in our young library. Titles are carefully curated to be of high literary, imaginative, moral, historical, and/or scientific value. For students: Students have a weekly library visit where they may sign out carded books to enjoy home. To encourage the habit of care, all students recite our Book Etiquette pledge at the end of their library visit. For parents and teachers: We host a growing selection of books on classical Christian education and Charlotte Mason education, which we encourage you to borrow! (And yes, you may of course borrow “children’s” books too.)
